We recently received an enquiry via our website from a client in Edgewater in the Northern suburbs of Perth.
The client’s had recently updated their kitchen with new stone worktops, a tiled splashback and new wall units featuring glass fronted doors. However, the clients felt the original pantry doors were letting the renovation down and were looking for a fresh take on things. It was decided the pantry doors needed a new contemporary look, a solution to complement the updated style of the kitchen. The customer enquired about the suitability of using glass to front the pantry.
We responded promptly to the enquiry and organised a date and time to meet the clients and measure up. Taking the cues from the etched glass in the wall units and brushed steel handles we went away and prepared samples to show the clients. The customer required a semi-transparent glass that would partially obscure the pantry contents and their idea was to add Led lights to backlight the pantry to create a subtle glowing effect all operated via a Bluetooth lighting system.

The hardest part was matching the transparency of the existing glass in the wall units but we soon agreed on a match along with the sets of brushed steel hinges and doors handles.
With the job duly accepted we set about ordering the glass and door furniture from our favoured suppliers here in Perth, the glass is a toughened safety glass conforming to current regulations.
The fitting was relatively straightforward, the new doors attaching to the existing metal door frame easily. The new sleek glass doors helped tie the pantry in with all the other new kitchen elements from the glass wall units to the brushed steel light fittings and handles completing a great kitchen renovation.
We were delighted with the results and here is what the clients said.
Thank you so much, we are very happy with our new kitchen pantry doors, the final piece in our kitchen renovation project. We were unsure of exactly what we wanted and even if it could be done, so we really appreciated your guidance and patience in achieving our goal. It’s turned out better than we ever imagined.
